Internet Desk: Defending champions and top seeds Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis were eliminated from Wimbledon after losing 2-6 4-6 to the Hungarian-Kazakhstani pair of Timea Babos and Yaroslava Shvedova in London on Thursday.

Hingis and Mirza crumbled to a 2-6 loss in the first set, making too many unforced errors. They improved in the second set and had three break points in the third game of the set, but failed to convert all three, as Babos and Shvedoka sped to a 5-1 lead. They fought back to win the next three games, but their opponents held on to win the second set 4-6.
