Gujarat Titan's leg spinner Rashid Khan checks Liam Livingstone's bat after the later hit a monstrous 117m six .

Xtra Time Web Desk: Punjab Kings Liam Livingstone hit the biggest six in the ongoing IPL during Tuesday night’s match against table toppers Gujarat Titans. Livingstone smashed 117 m six which is the longest so far in the ongoing edition of the cash rich league. As soon as Livingstone hit the six, Gujarat Titan’s Rashid Khan came rushing to check his bat.

The incident happened in the 16th over, with Gujarat Titan’s pace spearhead Mohammed Shami bowling. Liam Livingstone hit the first ball he faced for monstrous 117 metre six, which left the commentators, fans and players in utter shock. Even Shami was in awe watching the ball sail into the stands. Livingstone hit couple of more sixes in successive balls to make it three in a row in that over.

The English cricketer have had the reputation of hitting nig sixes. So far in the ongoing edition of IPL, Livingstone has hit 23 sixes, 13 behind his fellow countrymen Jos Buttler.

Later after the match Livingstone said, “I didn't think I was going to bat at one point, nice to go out and hit a few out the middle. I thought Shikhar played beautifully to set it up, and Bhanu with that partnership. It was a big win for us and we needed it, we have played some bad cricket in the last couple of games and it is nice to turn it around. I went up to Mayank and said I fancy going in before you and he said you go in if Bhanu gets out and I go in if Shikhar gets out.”

Batting first, Gujarat managed put up 143 runs on the board, in reply Punjab chased down the target in just 16 overs, to climb to 5th spot in points table.
