Kolkata: Someone who has never played for East Bengal before and for the Mohun Baganis adorably called as the “Sobuj Tota” (Green Parrot), Jose Ramirez Barreto was present at the Red and Gold club tent today. Arriving in the city for two days on account of personal reasons, the Brazilian forward got a call from East Bengal official Debabrata Sarkar.

After visiting the rival camp, Barreto sat next to Sarkar and jokingly said, “Give me the contract paper”
However when the media inquired about contract paper to be that of a coach, he cracked another joke and replied that it was of the post for an Assistant coach.

The Brazilian also wanted to know about East Bengal’s new foreigner Mahmoud Al Amna, asking his whereabouts. Today being the birthday of Late Paltu Das, former East Bengal Secretary, a badge was put up on Barreto’s shirt.

Currently as of now, Barreto resided in Mumbai where he is the coach of Reliance Youth Champs.
“Managing a senior team is much easy compared to managing the youth. Coaching the Grassroot is a very difficult job. I also think that both East Bengal and Mohun Bagan should play the ISL, and hopefully they will be playing the nest year.”

Barreto would also be visiting the Mohun Bagan club ground to see his beloved side face Southern Samity in their first game of the CFL.

After spending two days here, Barreto would be returning to Mumbai however his aim is to manage a big club and return to Kolkata.
