Kolkata: The date of commencement of the highly awaited I-league is yet to be decided as AIFF Secretary Kushal Das couldn’t say a fixed date for the starting owing to certain problems. Each of the clubs who would be participating in the tournament have been suggesting their own proposals. Some claim to start the league from November 15 while both the Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan and East Bengal want the tournament to start from November 22.
A lot of clubs have also claimed that their infrastructure is not up to the mark while others have claimed to say that they are missing their players owing to them being engaged for the National service. Under these circumstances, the date for the start of the tournament will be determined by the Broadcasters. The clubs would be informed as per the date fixed by the broadcasters and whether they abide by the same is upto them.
