Kolkata: Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni was present for an advertisement shoot, for the second day today at Kolkata. Former cricketing great Kapil Dev too was present during the early hours of the shoot. However during the later portion of the day Dhoni himself alone was the star at the ad shoot.
Today’s ad shoot was an indoor ad shoot and a drawing room was created which depicted Dhoni himself’s drawing room as if how Mahi is spending his time with his family. The walls have been beautifully decorated with posters and pictures of Dhoni and his family. Many incidents of Dhoni’s cricketing career has been put up in frames.
Dhoni’s childhood friend Chittu who was also portrayed in Dhoni’s biographic film, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ was present and his too birthday was celebrated. The former skipper also presented the director of the ad, Arindam Sil an autographed ball.
Dhoni was in a gala and a typical bengali mood as he was seen wearing traditional bengali attire i.e. punjabi and pyajamas.
“Yesterday’s shoot was entirely different as it was an outdoor shoot. However today’s shoot was entirely on acting and I tell you that I have seen very few actors like him before. He is a brilliant actor and sometimes even precedes professional actors. With proper expressions he gave all of the shots perfectly as he is a perfectionist” said Arindam Sil.
“I am immensely thrilled after working with Kapil Dev as he has been my childhood hero. I started watching cricket at around 1975 and my first hero was Kapil Dev who took India to the world level and I have huge memories of him. Kapil, Sachin, Sourav and Dhoni are the four icons of Indian cricket as they are super heroes” Sil added.
The ad shoot also provides a social message for all the viewers. The ad shoot is scheduled to be launched before Durga Puja.
