Xtra Time Web Desk: Chennai Super Kings talisman MS Dhoni looks relaxed ahead of his side’s IPL 2021 opener Delhi Capitals at Wankhede stadium on April 10. The CSK captain has looked in great touch at the nets, hitting sixes at will. MS Dhoni led franchise will be out to prove a point this season after having failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in the history of IPL. The Yellow Army looks a well balanced unit with almost all their overseas cricketers joining the training. The latest cricketers to join CSK training was Imran Tahir, Lundi Ngidi and Mitchell Santner.

Meanwhile the franchise uploaded an interesting video of their captain trying his hands at an Italian game called Bocce with team’s physio Tommy Simsek. In the video, the CSK physio also explains the rules of the game.

“The Italians play this game where they throw steel balls. They have one ball that is called the Jack. You have three or four other balls and whoever gets closest to the Jack gets a point. If two of your balls are closer than your opposition then you get two points.,” said Simsek.

“So we use a couple of cricket balls and we play Bocce; an adapted version of Bocce. It’s first to 11 usually.”

Simsek signs off saying he is better than Dhoni when it comes to Bocce.

“I always beat him. He is a very good cricketer, but I am much better at Bocce,” said Tommy

The video was well-received by fans, and has been captioned as, “Thala vs Tommy at a game of Bocce! Italian version of Goli!”
