Watch: Aussie young sensation Oliver Davies creates a sensational record

XtraTime Web Desk: A teenager from Sydney Oliver Davies today smashed six over boundaries in an over as he reached to a double century in an U19 National Championships game in Adelaide.

While dawning the jersey for NSW Metro, Davies hit 17 huge sixes in his knock against Northern Territory as he scored 207 runs in just 115 deliveries.

He scored his first 100 runs in just 74 deliveries and then changed gears to hit the next 100 runs in just 39 deliveries. While doing so he hit six sixes against Jack James in the 40th over of the game. Surprisingly all his sixes were hit over midwicket. This is the most runs conceded in an over in these championships.

“After the first two sixes I had it in the back of my head I wanted to give it a crack and it paid off at the end,” said Davies after achieving the mark. “After the first two sixes I had it in the back of my head I wanted to give it a crack and it paid off at the end,” said Davies after achieving the mark.

“I was trying to target (the area) from forward square to cow corner and I was just getting down on the back leg, almost before it was even bowled, and trying to slog sweep them over mid-wicket.”
