Internet Desk: India’s run getting machine Virat Kohli is also the milestone breaker especially in the year 2017. The Indian skipper became the fourth quickest player to register 5000 runs by playing 63 tests and 105 innings. Past greats Sunil Gavaskar, Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar are only ahead of Kohli in this particular milestone.

Since his debut in 2011, Kohli has been brilliant and has been breaking records at his own free will. With a healthy average of 52.11, Kohli has 19 hundreds with a highest score of 235 runs.

In the previous Test match, Kohli surpassed Gavaskar by recording his 12th test ton as a captain and he ultimately became the first Indian captain to register a 150+ score. As for the record of hundreds by Indians, Kohli lies in the fifth spot behind Tendulkar (51), Rahul Dravid (36), Gavaskar (34), Virender Sehwag (23) and Azhar (22).
