Internet Desk: India skipper Virat Kohli is in supreme form on Proteas soil, as he scored his 34th ODI ton in the third ODI at the Newlands Cricket Stadium in Cape Town today. In this gem of a knock Kohli had only hit seven boundaries and mostly played ground shot. He completed his ton in just 119 runs and continued his dominant run in the ongoing ODI series.

At the start of the innings Kohli survived a scare during a LBW appeal went against him. The on-field umpire gave the decision against him, but Kohli chose to take a review and it showed that he had got an inside edge while playing that delivery.

While scoring his second ODI ton of the ongoing series, the batting maestro played shots through every part of the ground. After the departure of Rohit Sharma another opener Shikhar Dhawan and skipper Virat Kohli rebuild the innings together. After Dhawan’s departure nobody could stand beside Kohli as the wickets fell in regular interval. The India skipper single handedly took the team’s total to 303.

With this ton, the India skipper now has past legendary Sourav Ganguly as the Indian captain with most ODI tons. He has now 12 tons as captain while the former India skipper has only 11.
