Vinod Kambli,former India lefthanded batsman applies for the post of Junior National Selector

Vinod Kambli, the 49 year old former India left handed batsman has applied for the post of Junior National Selector. Back in the nineties the classy left hander represented India in both tests and one day format. Je played in 17 tests and 104 one day International for India.

His famous 664 runs partnership in the year 1988 along with Sachin Tendulkar brought bot these young men in the limelight. Kambli who was believed to be a talented young left hander could sustain the start that he had to his international career due to the indisciplined life that he led which ultimately led to jis downfall. He is currently a member of Mumbai Cricket Association’s cricket improvement committee.

Kambli wants to work for the development of Indian youth cricket. He wants to develop bench strength for the national senior side. In an interview to a reputed media house he says ” Yes, I’ve applied for this post because I want to give something back to Indian cricket, which has given me everything. I want to work on developing the bench strength of our team, and help the BCCI unearth talented youngsters.”
