Ravindra Jadeja during his half century knock in intra squad match simulation on Sunday.

Xtra Time Web Desk: The three day intra squad match simulation ended on Sunday with most of the Indian players getting into the grove. Team India all rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored a fifty (54 off 76) on Day 3 to keep the team management in a dilemma whether to go in with two spinners or an extra seamer in the upcoming ICC World Test Championship Final against New Zealand. Mohammed Siraj also had a decent outing as the promising fast bowler picked two wickets. The intra squad match simulation practice was reduced to three days. The BCCI shared a small video clip of Jadeja's knock on its social media handles.

It was a good outing for all the players, particularly the likes of Rishabh Pant who scored a brilliant hundred. Shubman Gill too scored a solid 85 to stake his claim for the WTC Final. Rohit Sharma also had a decent run with the bat, scoring a half century. KL Rahul, who might not get an opportunity in the WTC Final, scored a hundred as well. Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara batted for both the sides which were led by Virat Kohli and KL Rahul.

Among the bowlers veteran Ishant Sharma picked three wickets on Day 1. Mohammed Siraj too picked a couple of wickets on Day 3. It will be interesting whether both get an opportunity or either of them sits out for the WTC final. The Indian players will only have net practice from Monday.

The much anticipated ICC World Test Championship Final will be played between India and New Zealand starting from June 18 at the Ageas Bowl.
