There are no contract issues with any Mohun Bagan-ATK footballers, says Debashis Dutta

XtraTime Web Desk: There are a lot of speculations going on regarding East Bengal’s contract with the footballers like Balwant Singh, Chullova, Eugeneson Lyngdoh for the new season but there are no contract issues with any Mohun Bagan-ATK footballers. Because both the officials of Mohun Bagan & ATK have informed the AFC & AIFF that they are working together unitedly after they have join hands from June 1.

ATK has long-term contact with the players like Arindam Bhattacharya, Pritam Kotal, beside that they signed Subhasish Bose, Manveer Singh for the new season. On the other hand Mohun Bagan has long-term contracts with Sk.Sahil, Fran Gonzalez. Now the question arises that after the merger of Mohun Bagan and ATK whether those contracts are valid or not, as the two clubs have merged together. On being asked about the matter Mohun Bagan Finance Secretary Debasish Dutta said,” Mohun Bagan has a license and ATK has a license as well. There is no problem in two clubs regarding their licenses. We are doing everything under AFC and AIFF’s guidelines. After the merger between two clubs now we have become a new entity. In the AFC guidelines there is an instruction that if you become a new entity, then you have to bear both profit and loss of each other. That’s why the footballers too are the part of the entity as they are the main property of the club.”
