Internet Desk: The BCCI has extended their deadline of submission of applications for the chair of India’s head coach to July 9. The latest development has happened after Anil Kumble’s resignation as head coach due to a rift with skipper Virat Kohli. The earlier deadline was on May 31.

Aspirants who have already applied to fill the spot left vacant by Kumble will not have to apply again, and will be included in the final list of applicants, the BCCI has stated in its communique. “Interested candidates should send their application to [email protected] and need to be available for personal/video interviews in the following week,” BCCI stated.

Earlier former India opener Virender Sehwag, Lalchand Rajput and Dodda Ganesh had applied for the post, on the other hand India’s present coach will get a direct entry.

The two foreigners who had applied for the post are Tom Moody, the former Sri Lanka coach and Richard Pybus of England who was the coach of Pakistan once and is currently working with the West Indies team.
