Internet Desk: Australia, who had achieved a lot in International cricket last few years is yet to win the World T20 title. They are now the top ranked team in test cricket and won 50-over World Cup under Clarke’s captaincy in 2015. Australia pose a strong side in the shorter format of the games as they have hard hitters like David Warner, Aaron Finch, Shane Watson and Glenn Maxwell in their ranks. They possess a formidable pace bowling line-up comprising of John Hastings, Mitchell Starc and James Faulkner and a couple of good all-rounders. What they miss is the likes of good spinners which they need to survive in Indian conditions where the ball is expected to turn a lot. The spin department of Australia consists of inexperienced Adam Zampa and Ashton Agar and part timer Glen Maxwell.

Steve Smith who is leading the Australian T20 side as well due to Finch’s fitness issues is all set to get the record on their name by winning the T20 title.

Smith feels Australia does have that pedigree in their side to win the title as the players have that experience to pursue in Indian conditions.

Australia all-rounder Shane Watson and too order batsman Usman Khawaja have shown excellent skills in Big Bash League (BBL) which puts Smith under pressure to decide the top order for who will open the innings for Australia in T20I tournament. Considering Finch and David Warner have played exceptionally well against India, the call for top order is difficult at the moment.

Smith said that he is not quite sure about the top order yet which he will decide by watching the 3 T20I matches against South Africa starting from 4th March at Durban.
