Kolkata: Sony Norde the Haitian International who was not featured in the AFC Cup encounter between Mohun Bagan and Bangaluru FC was apparently seen to witness the match from the V.I.P box.

Many of the main team players were absent for the Mariners as coach Sanjoy Sen had rested them for the Fed Cup finals. Sony was rested too and he, his brother and with fellow team mate Darryl Duffy witnessed the game as his side thrashed the visitors 3-1 at the Rabindra Sarabor Stadium.

Immediately after the match the Haitian went to the dressing room and congratulated his team mates and left with his brother. The moment he sat down in his car, a Mohun Bagan fan came rushing towards him and handed him a gold ring saying Norde to gift it to his beloved wife Kim.

In the Press Conference Bagan coach Sanjoy Sen said that his team played without the key players and his team performed better with the key players.

“Every match is important but I want to forget this match. For tomorrow I want to concentrate on the Fed Cup match” said Sen.

Mohun Bagan will play the Fed Cup finals against the same opponents i.e. Bangaluru FC on 24th of May at Cuttack.

Bagan forward Jeje who was featured in the goal scorers list said ‘’ I want to continue the winning momentum by scoring more goals”.

“I work hard and scoring goals boosts up my confidence, however I will always place my team’s victory above than my personal goals” said the Mizo forward.
