Kolkata: Kolkata giant Mohun Bagan will be eyeing their first trophy of the season when they will face Customs Club in the final of Sikkim Governors Gold Cup at the Paljor Stadium, in Sikkim tomorrow. The Green and Maroon Brigade thrashed ONGC 5-0 yesterday; on the other hand Customs beat Patha Chakra to reach the final.

Mohun Bagan played brilliantly in the recently concluded Calcutta Football League but lost to arch rivals East Bengal via goal-difference. Now they are eyeing their first trophy of the season by winning the Sikkim Governors Gold Cup. Though Coach Shankarlal Chakraborty thinks that they would have to fight hard against Customs in the final. He went to watch the semifinal between Patha Chakra and Customs too.” Customs has some good foreigners in their team. Their forward line is quite strong too. We have to play really well to win the trophy,” said  Shankarlal Chakraborty.

Shankarlal is keeping the same squad which played against ONGC. The footballers have practiced penalty shootouts too during their practice session at the Paljor Stadium. The Green and Maroon Brigade are relying on Rana Gharami and Kingshuk Debnath in their defence. But Dipanda Dicka and Ansumana Kromah’s chemistry in the upfront will be the key for their success tomorrow.
