Internet Desk: Mumbai Indians (MI) created history as they became the first team ever to win the IPL for a record three times when they defeated Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS)  in the finals. Mumbai won the game by one run as the match went down to the last ball of the innings.

Harsh Goenka, RPS owner’s brother tweeted during the match, comparing Steve Smith and MS Dhoni with the legendary characters Jai and Veeru of a renowned Bollywood movie Sholay.

The legendary movie which was released way back in 1975 starred Amitabh Bachchan as Jai and Dharmendra as Veeru. The iconic friendship of the dou has won hearts of millions of cine fanatics.

Goenka also compared Dhoni and Smith with two popular English comedians Laurel and Hardy.

RPS ended on the losing side when they were chasing a target of 130 runs. However at the end of 20 overs they managed 128 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah played a vital role in the match when he took 2 wickets while Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson took two important wickets in the final over of the game.
