File Pic[/caption] Internet Desk: Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth won his second group stage encounter in the men's singles of the Rio Olympics, beating Sweden's Henri Hurskainen 21-6 21-18 on Sunday. Srikanth cruised through the first game, bagging it in barely 13 minutes, before the Swede made a fight out of it in the second. However, it wasn't enough to stop Srikanth as the world No. 11 recorded an easy win. The 23-year-old Indian is now through to the pre-quarter-finals stage of the tournament. The win brought some relief to Indian fans after Saina Nehwal's shock exit earlier in the day. Srikanth had won his first preliminary encounter without losing a game against Lino Munoz of Mexico. He is the only Indian competing in the men's singles tournament. On the other hand, Indian shuttler PV Sindhu too is through to the round of 16 of the women's singles tournament at the Rio Olympics. After world No. 5 Saina Nehwal's shock exit earlier in the day, Sindhu, ranked tenth, began her group stage match being the only Indian left in the women's singles draw.However, the 21-year-old showed her pedigree as she beat Canada’s Michelle Li in three games. Sindhu staged a comeback from a game down to win the match 19-21 21-15 21-17. In the first game, the Canadian stunned the Indian 21-19. Sindhu then upped her game to bag the second 21-15. However, the third and final game saw Sindhu control the momentum of the match and eventually bagged it 21-17 to progress to the round of 16.
