Internet Desk: Another blow from shooting arena arrived as two trap shooters Manavjit Singh Sandhu and Kynan Chenai failed to qualify for the semi-final of men’s trap event. Manavjit, the experienced shooter was surrounded by tough competitors to finish at the 16th spot. Another Kynan finished at 19th.

Manavjit Singh Sandhu had started the second and final day of the qualification round of the event with a score of 68/75. The 39-year-old started in fine form as he hit all of his first 25 shots on target, getting a perfect 25. On the other hand, Kynan Chenai had started day two of the qualification round with a score of 67/75. The young shooter started the day off well by scoring 3 off 3 but missed his fourth target on the day.

It was particularly disappointing for Manavjit, who had pulled himself into contention by being 8th at one stage with a perfect 25 in the fourth round. However, he could not sustain the form and ended with a 22 in the final round to finish at a disappointing 16th.

Italian Giovanni Pellielo topped the two-day qualifications with a score of 122, followed by Brit Edward Ling (120). Croat Josip Glasnovic (120) ended third.
