Former Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt has revealed the team he will play for after a highly anticipated build-up to the announcement via his Twitter account.

On Sunday evening, the 100m world-record holder tweeted; “I’ve signed for a football team! Find out which one this Tuesday at 8am GMT.” This put football fans around the world into a frenzy, while his fans speculated which team he’d start his professional football career with.

South African Premiership side Mamelodi Sundowns were touted as a possible destination after the Jamaican was pictured training at Chloorkop last month. However, on Tuesday, the 31-year-old announced he will be lining up at Old Trafford for UNICEF in a charity exhibition match along with other celebrities, including pop-star Robbie Williams.
