Real Madrid denies Mbappe fiasco

XtraTime Web Desk:  Real Madrid has dismissed reports they have agreed on a deal to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain describing the rumours as ‘completely false’.

The 19-year-old forward, who is currently at the World Cup with France has been heavily linked with a potential world-record transfer to the Bernabeu.

‘Given the information published in the last few hours regarding an alleged agreement between Real Madrid C.F. and PSG for the player Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid would like to state that it is completely false,’ the LaLiga club said in a statement on their website.

Real Madrid has not made any offer to PSG or the player and condemns the spreading of this type of information that has not been proven by the parties concerned.’

The statement comes two days after Madrid made an official statement denying Spanish state television reports they offered £275million for PSG’s Neymar

Mbappe joined PSG on loan last year ahead of a £166m move to the Ligue 1 giants this summer.

Madrid, Arsenal and Barcelona were all linked with a move for the French teenager, but he opted to remain in his home country.

Mbappe has scored three goals in the World Cup so far, including a brace in France’s 4-3 victory over Argentina in the last 16.

France faces Uruguay in the quarter-finals of the competition on Friday afternoon.
