Internet Desk: Indian cricket icon and Rajya Sabha MP Sachin Tendulkar’s aide for the drought hit village of Wakala went unutilized. Tendulkar had announced Rs 1 crore as aid to Wakala – the drought-hit village of Aurangabad in Maharashtra in 2014. But the village could not reach a conclusion regarding the use of the money.
According to reports, villagers fought amongst themselves when officials asked them to arrange for a meeting to decide the tender process.
Discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, race and political affiliation stopped the people from working for the betterment of the drought-hit area.
