Xtra Time Web Desk: Manchester United played out a 0-0 stalemate against Chelsea in Premier League at Old Trafford on Saturday. It was the first point for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side at home this season, after facing losses against Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspurs. The Red Devils stay in the 15th spot with 7 points from 5 games while Chelsea moved up to sixth spot with 9 points.

It was a dull encounter where both sides seemed more concerned about not losing than going for the win.

There were few chances with United’s new signing Edinson Cavani coming close to scoring with his first touch, diverting Bruno Fernandes's cross into the side-netting, while Marcus Rashford drew a fine late stop from Edouard Mendy.

In another Premier League fixture, reigning champions Liverpool came from behind to win against Sheffield United. The Reds moved joint top in the Premier league along with Everton with 13 points from 6 games. Roberto Firmino (41’) and Diogo Jota (64’) scored for the club in Anfield while Sanger Berge’s striked for the Blades.

Manchester City and West Ham United settled for a 1-1 score line at the London stadium.
