Xtra Time Web Desk: According to the ICC Cricket World Cup schedule, India and Pakistan are set to face each other at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on the upcoming 15th of October. However, there is a possibility that the date for this highly anticipated match might be advanced by a day to the 14th of October. The reason behind this potential change is that the Navratri festival, which is a significant celebration for the people of Gujarat, begins on the 15th of October. Organizing a major cricket match on the same day as Navaratri could pose logistical and security challenges.

An unnamed source from the BCCI has stated, "Since Navaratri is a major festival starting on the 15th of October, security agencies have advised considering a change in the day for this big match. Considering the high-security requirements for this match as well, it is necessary."

Discussions with the ICC will be required to finalize the change on the match day. However, it is certain that the match will not be moved out of Ahmedabad.

If the date is indeed changed, it could pose difficulties for the spectators. Many cricket enthusiasts had already made arrangements well in advance, including booking hotels and flights to be in Ahmedabad for the match. With a date change, they will have to bear the inconvenience and financial implications of rebooking their accommodations and travel arrangements, especially as hotel and flight prices have likely surged due to the high demand during this time.
