Perth Scorchers thrash Sydney Sixers by 79 runs to win the Big Bash League 2021-22
Xtra Time Web Desk : A rampant Perth Scorchers on Friday thrashed the Sydney Sixers by a massive margin of 79 runs to win their Big Bash League 2021-22, courtesy of a brilliant 76 off 41 balls from Laurie Evans.
The smashing innings from Evans ensured that the Scorchers reach a decent & competitive total of 171 at the end of 20 overs.
Sydney Sixers in reply were bundled out by the Perth bowlers for a total of just 92 in 16.2 overs in a replay of last year's final, where Sydney earlier emerged as winners.
After the clash, man of the match Evans in an interview said, "What can I say, the guys deserve this. They’ve sacrificed a lot, not being able to get home and stuff like that. I’m just really proud we got over the line today."
The Perth Scorchers are now the team with the most number of BBL titles
