Debasis Sen, London: Ahead of the start of second test between India and England at Lord’s legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar was seen bowling to Indian batsmen during the net session. And today when the match was stopped on Day 2 Arjun was seen helping the ground staffs at the Home of Cricket.

Junior Tendulkar is a part of the MCC Young Cricketers training at the indoorcricket academy which is inside Lord’s. On day 2 when the game was stopped due to rain, the junior sensation went to help the ground staffs. He was seen in jovial mood while helping the staffs. Earlier on day 1 Sachin too was present at Lord’s to watch the game between India and England. He was supposed to start the day’s play with the five minute bell but unfortunately a single ball wasn’t bowled due to heavy rain.

Lord’s Cricket Ground’s official twitter handle posted that image on their account to applaud junior Tendulkar’s effort. The post read “Not only has he been training with @MCCYC4L recently & but he has also been lending a helping hand to our Groundstaff!”

Arjun was in news last month when he played his career’s first youth test for India U19 squad in Sri Lanka. He was in the playing XI in both four-day games where he took 3 wickets and scored 0 and 14 respectively.
