Two times World Cup winning former captain bid farewell to international cricket on Saturday. The wicketkeeper batsman from Jharkhand has been trending on social media platforms since his announcement.

While IndiGo tweeted an ad depicting ‘Captain Cool’s’ trademark shot that said, “The helicopter has landed”.

Fast-food giant KFC described Dhoni as the greatest finisher. Their ad read, “The greatest finisher” over an empty bucket of fried chicken. KFC : Always came through when it was crunch time. #MSDhoni

Amul has been the leader when it comes to acknowledging a momentous occasion or event. The global brand shared a message in their latest ad campaign that says, “MS Dhoni retires from international cricket…”

Another global brand Parle G in their latest advertisements paid tribute to Dhoni by captioning, “We like our Chai hot and our “Captain Cool”. You ended this game in style – like always; and we bid you farewell.”⁣

In fact, Dhoni’s brand valuation ballooned last year to $41.2 million despite India’s exit from the 2019 World Cup held in England.
