Kolkata: Mohun Bagan gets the all-important clearance to organize the much-awaited legends’ match between FC Barcelona and Mohun Bagan AC on September 28, The AIFF sources have confirmed www.xtratime.in.
The AIFF General Secretary Kushal Das had told yesterday that to organize an international exhibition match, the club needs to get a clearance from FIFA first, else the Federation cannot approve the game to take place.
It is learnt that the clearance has already been given to the club and the official e-mail will arrive at the club on Monday.
The decision will no doubt be a huge sigh of relief for the match organizers.
