Mohun Bagan derails Railway FC with a thumping second half performance

Kolkata: Mohun Bagan won their second match of the CFL in an emphatic manner when they comfortably defeated Railway FC 3-0 in their club ground. The three goals were scored Chesterpaul Lyngdoh, Kamo and Shilton D’Silva.

The first half of the game ended goalless as the mighty Bagan side failed to score past a foreigner less Railways side. The Mariners got the first chance of the game in the 9th minute when a delightful cross from Chesterpaul Lyngdoh missed the goal by a whisker when it was hit by Kromah.

In the 41st minute an individual brilliance from Kamo saw dribble past defenders in the box and then fall down. As the Bagan fans and players cried out in unison claiming penalty, the referee on the other showed the yellow card to Kamo for simulation.

The 44th minute saw Amit Samanta from Railways getting the marching orders after he received two yellow cards.

The first goal came in the 64th minute which saw Chesterpaul Lyngdoh taking the Mariners ahead with a brilliant finish.

Kamo made it 2-0 for the Kolkata giants in the 78th minute, while the third goal was scored in the 92nd minute by Shilton D’Silva who scored his 2nd goal in his two games.
