Kolkata: The match between Tollygunge Agragami and Rainbow FC of CFL 2017 is under FIFA’s scanner at the moment. FIFA has a team named ‘Sports Rader’. They had an information that the match between Tollygunge and Rainbow FC which was played on August 25 would be fixed and Rainbow would lost the match. They had sent a letter to AIFF’s integrity officer Javed Siraj regarding this matter. Mr. Javed Siraj had sent that letter to the IFA secretary Utpal Ganguly today.

Regarding this matter Utpal Ganguly said,” I will discuss this matter and would definitely see that if there is any truth involved in this story. I will call the officials of both the clubs.”

Rainbow FC head coach Tarit Ghosh denied all the alligations against his team. “It is true that ahead of the Tollygunge Agragami match we needed points badly. In a 9-match League if we gift points to the other teams it would be a huge problem for us, then why would we fix a match? Our club has a very rich history. We have U14, U16 and U18 academies, which is certified by the AIFF too. We have 5 points from 5 games. We would get 3 points from IFA as Southern Samity didn’t show up against us. We have two matches left in the league against Patha Chakra and Mohammedan Sporting Club. If we can beat Patha Chakra we would reach to the fourth spot in the league with 11 points. Our aim is to play the Second Division League next season, so losing a game intentionally is just baseless.”

On being asked if IFA Secretary calls him for any investigation, Tarit said,”If he calls us we would definitely meet him and will share all this with him.”
