Manoj-Undefeated Eagerness to Play for Bengal after Injury

Internet Desk: Bengal captain Manoj Tiwary is desperate to play the final of K Thimmappiah Memorial Tournament despite his injury on his right thumb. He took the injury as a regular habit and wants to be the part of the team playing their first final of pre-season practice. Fate of Bengal, in the K Thimmappiah Memorial Tournament, was decided earlier when they took the lead in the first innings. Today, at the end of the match against Mumbai Cricket Association leading by 113 runs Bengal reached the final of the tournament. “I conceived injuries many times be it a domestic cricket or an international one. Presently I am habituated with injuries. I fielded with the injuries and batted too. It won’t be problem for me”, said confident Manoj. Today, Bengal team was under pressure against Mumbai as they took all the 10 wickets of Bengal by 235 runs. Mumbai team also beat the Bengal bowlers at the end of the match. They scored 196/6 from only 20 overs courtesy a quickfire 72(36) from Surya Kumar Yadav. Still the Bengal skipper is confident about his team. He said, “I cannot remember any season when the team did such performance in a pr-season. This time all the newcomers as well as senior players are charged up to fight for the team.” The skipper said that the team has changed their strategy inside the dressing room. “Previously we used to criticize our faults in the dressing room after any match. Now we don’t criticize each other.Rather we discuss constructive ideas about our loops and holes”, said Manoj. The team will face against KSCA XI in the final on their home ground. Bengal skipper is worried about umpiring as the local umpires will officiate in that match with a lot of Karnataka senior cricketers. However, he keeps faith on his squad to win the tournament.
