Xtra Time Web Desk: The FA Cup saw its second finalist decided for the 2020-21 season in what was a well contested battle between Leicester City and Southampton, which saw The Foxes come out on top by a score of 1-0. A 55th minute Kelechi Iheanacho strike was the difference, propelling Leicester to the final on 15th May, where they will face Chelsea in a battle to see who comes out on top.

The game saw a rather dull first half, where neither team really shone through, and there was nothing to differentiate the two sides at half time. The winner came soon enough though, in the form of a goal by in-form Nigerian striker Iheanacho, who put it in the back of the net at the second time of asking after some brilliant work by strike-partner Jamie Vardy. Southampton were lackluster in the attack, and were unable to even force a save from Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel throughout the match. Out of a total of 16 shots created by both teams, Iheanacho's strike was the only one to be on target.

This means that the Nigerian forward now has 10 goals in his last 7 appearances for the Foxes. The FA Cup final will be a historic one for Leicester City, as they will be stepping into their first final since 1969, when they lost 1-0 to Manchester City. It will be an opportunity for them to clinch the first FA Cup in the history of their club. They will be facing a strong Chelsea side under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel, who also find themselves in the Champions League Semi-finals. Leicester themselves have brilliant guidance in the form of Brendan Rodgers, so it promises to be a close battle. Who wins this matchup remains to be seen, and it promises to be an exciting game for sure, so watch this space.
