Xtra Time[/caption] Kolkata: In a noble gesture Bengal and India cricketers Manoj Tiwary and Wridhhiman Saha donated their cricket gears for die hard Mohun Bagan fan Bapi Majhi, who is fighting with cancer. Former India cricketer turned politician Laxmi Ratan Shukla too has donated his cricket gear for Bapi. Bapi Majhi, is diagnosed with stomach cancer few months back and is presently under treatment. He has undergone a series of successful chemotherapy. As doctors prescribed he will have to undergo more of chemo. Xtratime.in has come forward to support Bapi. Bengal captain Manoj Tiwary donated his pair of gloves with which he scored his debut ODI hundred against West Indies at Chepauk. The southpaw took 125 balls to complete a defiant knock in extreme hot conditions. Eventually he had to retire due to cramps. Manoj also donated his India ODI jersey along with a India practice cap and one of his favourite bat with which he scored several first class hundreds. India's test wicket keeper, Wriddhiman Saha has donated his keeping gloves and batting gloves with which he played the second test match against Sri Lanka last year at P.Sara Oval, Colombo. Wriddhiman scored his second test fifty (56 off 117) of his career in the first innings of the match as well as took a catch and a did a stumping wearing those pair of keeping gloves. Former Bengal captain and MoS Sports (WB Govt.) Laxmi Ratan Shukla has donated his signed jersey with which he lead Bengal to win the 2012 Vijay Hazare Trophy against Mumbai. Laxmi scored a brilliant 106* and took 4 wickets in the final. The all rounder also donated his pair of pads he wore in the succesful Vijay Hazare campaign. India women cricketer Jhulan Goswami too has donated her Woman of the Series jersey against Australia to go under the hammer. The amount to be raised from the auction will be handed over to Bapi Majhi for his treatment as well as to Alip Chakraborty's family, who lost the battle with cancer a week back. Alip is survived by his wife and son. Alip was diagnosed with tongue cancer in November last year.
