Kolkata’s U17 World Cup in the hands of women police

Kolkata: The FIFA U17 World Cup is just a few days away and it is the first big event of FIFA which will be held in India. Ahead of that the City of Joy is gearing up for the mega event as it will host 10 matches along with the grand finale of the tournament. Chief Minister of West Bengal Smt. Mamata Banerjee is doing everything for the success of the tournament in Kolkata. The Government is forming an independent department at the Salt Lake Stadium ahead of the event and for that they have appointed two police officers to look after everything regarding the U17 World Cup. The two officers are from special branch and their names are Papia Sultana Alam and Parul Jain. They are appointed as the sports commandant and deputy sports commandant respectively.

Both of them are known as very good officers on their field. Papia Sultana Alam is also the first Muslim police officer of West Bengal. Both the officers are eagerly waiting for doing their job well on sports field too.

Many forthcoming superstars of world football will be coming to the City of Joy to show their football skills in the grand event and both the officers want to make their country and state proud in front of the world.
