Kohli, Tendulkar leads sporting fraternity in expressing tribute for Sushant Singh Rajput

XtraTime Web Desk: Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli led the sporting fraternity of the country in paying a tribute to the shocking news of the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput on Sunday. The MS Dhoni biopic actor was found hanging in his room in Mumbai. The Kai Po Che actor was 34 years old.

Kohli tweeted, “Shocked to hear about Sushant Singh Rajput. This is so difficult to process. May his soul RIP and may god give all the strength to his family and friends.”

Former India cricketer and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar expressed his shock over the sudden demise of the actor. Tendulkar tweeted, “Shocked and sad to hear about the loss of Sushant Singh Rajput. Such a young and talented actor. My condolences to his family and friends. May his soul RIP.”

Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan in his tweet said, “So shocking and unable to believe this.. Sincere condolences and prayers to the family of #SushantSinghRajput. RIP. May God bless your soul.”

Boxer Vijender Singh tweeted, “Extremely shocked why #SushantSinghRajput,” with a sad smiley.

“Omg no no no!!!,” tweeted India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

Sushant Singh Rajput garnered applause for almost all his films. But he will be best remembered for his role in MS Dhoni, in which he played the former Indian cricket team captain to perfection. It was among the most successful sports film ever made in the country. He soon became a favourite among the cricket lovers. In fact Sushant Singh Rajput also acted in another cricket based movie Kai Po Che where he played the role of a failed district-level cricketer who coached a Muslim boy and helped him represent India at the international level.
