Xtra Time Web Desk : Sunrisers Hyderabad young pacer Umran Malik has been one of the revelations of this season in the Indian Premier League, with regularly clicking the 150 kmp/h mark, terrifying opponent batters in the process.

Malik, who has taken 10 wickets so far in the 7 games he has played, has made everyone proud, which includes his father Abdul Rashid, who is a simple fruit and vegetable seller from Jammu and Kashmir.

And his father in an interview with the Times of India, shared stories of Umran's journey in becoming into this firece speedster, that the 22 year old is right now.

"My only dream now is to see my son in an Indian team jersey. I want him to play in the World Cup some day. I am sure he will. He has reached this level and I am confident he will get there very soon. He will make the entire country proud," said Rashid in the interview.

"Umran has made me popular in the market and in fact in Jammu overall. Everyone greets me saying 'adaab' in the market. I am really proud of my son," added the proud father.

Umran, in the process of playing IPL has had the chance to interact with legends of the game like MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. And his father in the conversation was also emotional while talking about his son's interaction with the former Team India captains.

"Umran discussed some of those things with me. MS Dhoni is a legend of the game. Virat Kohli is also a great cricketer. Umran met both of them. They have told Umran that he is the future of Indian cricket. When Umran called me to share this with me, he was extremely happy. He was elated after listening to those golden words from the two legends of the game," said an emotional Abdul Rashid talking about Umran's future.
