KKR comes up with big surprise, signs two wonder talents of U19 World Cup

Internet Desk: Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shubman Gill are probably the best two U19 players playing in the World Cup at New Zealand will play for Kolkata Knight Riders. Shubman is a right handed opening batsman playing for India U19 team in the U19 World Cup also played for Punjab U19 and U16 team got chance to play for KKR. He will have his teammate Nagarkoti with him to share the dressing room.

KKR had to spend 1.80 Cr. for Gill as he has an impressive record already as he score three half centuries in the ongoing World Cup. Scored 63 against Australia, 90* against Zimbabwe and 86 against Bangladesh in the Quarter Final. His childhood coach said, ” He is a very good stroke player and he will develop himself as he got Rahul Dravid as his mentor in this World Cup. He will play well in this IPL.”

India’s fastest bowler Nagarkoti bowls at 150 Kmph and also took seven wickets, in three matches and twice he got three wickets in a match. Also fielded brilliantly got 3.20 Crore in the bidding to sign for KKR. Cricket was always high on priority for Nagarkoti, the Son of an Army kid, was first spotted in the cantonment area in Jaipur at the age of 8 and even then he was bowling faster than those bigger to him. When  his coach Surendra Rathore saw him, he wasted no time, taking him at his academy in Jaipur where Nagarkoti excelled in all three aspects – batting, bowling and fielding. His father Lachham Singh Nagarkoti, ” This is just the stepping stone for him I want to give all credit to his coach Surendra Rathore . He have to perform well in the IPL to get chance in the senior Indian national cricket team.”

KKR got Ishank Jaggi, Nitish Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, Piyush Chawla, Dinesh Karthik and Robin Uthappa in their squad.
