Kolkata: A big chaos took place in the evening outside the Mohun Bagan tent today. Some East Bengal fans were returning beside the Green and Maroon club tent after the match against Tollygunge Agragami. The Bagan fans have alleged that, few East Bengal supporters misbehaved with both men and women supporters who were standing outside the tent during that time. When they tried to protest against those persons, a few Red & Gold fans threw bricks at the Mohun Bagan tent and broke the sign board of the club.

Later police came to the place but they couldn’t arrest anybody as everybody left the place after the fight. The Mohun Bagan supporters have filed a complaint against those East Bengal fans at Maidan Police station, but they haven’t identified anybody in that madness. In a few moment, Mohun Bagan Ground Secretary Swapan Banerjee (Babun) too reached the police station and told the duty officer everything that happened at the club.

Mohun Bagan’s finance secretary Debashish Dutta said,” We are looking forward to what the East Bengal officials would do regarding this matter. Both the clubs are always working together for more than a decade, but this kind of incident hasn’t happened till now. An incident like this can affect the atmosphere of the Kolkata derby too and we are waiting for the East Bengal officials decision regarding this matter.”

East Bengal official Debabrata Sarkar too said this is a disgrace for Kolkata football.” This is a very shameful act and I condemn this on behalf of East Bengal Club. I want to urge the police authority to take the necessary steps against whoever have done this. This is not the culture of our club.”

The police are trying to find out those persons who have done this kind of disgraceful thing.
