XtraTime Web Desk: Huge blow for two-time Indian Super League champions ATK as their star football Prabir Das is out of the field with a knee injury. It is still unclear when he would be fully fit to play. Mumbai’s Orthopedic doctor Mr. Anant Joshi is currently not in India and that’s why he will be under the observation of doctor Kanchan Bhattacharya until Dr. Joshi returns. During the preseason in Spain he got this injury.

The team’s Technical Director Sanjoy Sen said,” He has a knee injury and needs time to heal the injury.”ATK has just arrived in Kolkata today from Spain after three weeks of pre-season.  Team’s head coach Steve Coppell hasn’t come with the team as he went to his home in England from Spain. ATK will start their practice session in Kolkata from tomorrow evening and Coppell will return to Kolkata ahead of that.  The team’s star foreigners Kalu Uche, Andre Bikey and Manuel Lanzarote haven’t come with the team due to visa problem. They are still in Spain and will come to Kolkata soon after solving this problem. Though Steve Coppell’s side has played five practice matches in Spain but here they will only play two practice matches. They will face I-League side Neroca FC on September 20 and the next match on September 23, but the opponent is yet to be decided.

This is the first time that Sanjoy Sen will be a part of an ISL side rather than the I-League. On being asked about the matter, Sen said,” Our aim is to become the champion. All the teams want this trophy but only one team will get that. But we have a lot of footballers who have come here in this season and practiced together and it has united the team. It will help us during the tournament.
