ISL 2021-22 : SC East Bengal loses 4-3 to FC Goa in yet another goal fest

Xtra Time Web Desk : It was a crazy game at the Tilak Stadium, Goa, as the two bottom teams locked horns in a seven-goal match. SC East Bengal took on FC Goa, where the Red and Gold suffered yet another defeat this season after going down to the Gaurs, as the game finished 4-3.

For FC Goa it was Alberto Noguera and Jorge Ortiz Mendoza who made it the scorer list, where as for SC East Bengal it was Antonio Perosevic and Amir Dervisevic who contributed in the goal scoring list.

The first half started off with FC Goa controlling the game as they got their result from it in the 14th minute as Noguero blasted a right footed long ranger which landed in the top left corner of the East Bengal goal. However, the score was equalized in the 28th minute as Perosevic replied with his left footed shot which turned into goal.

The equalized score lasted only a few minutes, as the Gaurs got into the lead from the penalty spot in the 32th minute, as Mendoza converted the set-piece. Trailing East Bengal got a free kick in the Goa half which was taken by Amir Dervisevic who shot curling flight ball to make the scoreline 2-2 in the 37th minute.

The Red and Gold looking to enter the half time with equal scoreline suffered a set back as Perosevic scored a own goal, which he knew little about.

Coming to the second half, the looked flat compared to the first half as both the team seem to change their plans. However, their was a couple of goals despite of that. Perosevic equalled the scoreline yet again just one minute before the hour mark. But FC Goa landed the last goal of the game as Alberto Noguera scored his brace in the 79th minute.

Following ths result, SC East Bengal currently sit last in the league table collecting only two points. While the Guars sit just above the Red and Gold with three points.
