Xtra Time Web Desk : ATK Mohun Bagan on Wednesday were knocked out of this season’s Indian Super League by Hyderabad FC who went into the final courtesy of a 3-2 aggregate win over the Mariners in a 2 legged semi final tie, despite the Green and Maroon winning the 2nd leg on the day by a 1-0 margin.

It was Juan Ferrando’s team who dominated the match from the start itself with brilliant football altogether. But Manolo Marquez’s team played the waiting game and soaked up the pressure of their opponents with a sturdy defense.

Also, the Nizams’ experienced shot stopper Laxmikant Kattimani stood like a pillar in between the Mariners and the goal like a pillar in what was a one sided affair all through the 90 minutes.

Kattimani, who had a superb season till now made save after save and showed his reflexes to keep Roy Krishna out of scoring till he finally sent home a Liston Colaco cross on the 79 minute mark to pull things back for his team with a 1-0 lead on the day (Agg 2-3).

But since then, the Green and Maroon couldn’t further score their second goal in spite of coming close to scoring which ended the 2 legged semi final 3-2 in favour of Hyderabad despite ATK Mohun Bagan winning the match 1-0 on the night.
