XtraTime Web Desk: Within 24 hours after the official announcement of the inclusion of East Bengal club in the forthcoming Indian Super League (ISL 2020-21) season, the club management are in the process of penning down a contract with Jeje and Narayan Das. According to our sources the contract has already been signed by both the footballers. A formal announcement is expected soon once the name of Head Coach is declared. Former Liverpool footballer Robbie Fowler is the frontrunner to take the role of Head Coach of the century old Kolkata outfit. The announcement is expected to be made on Tuesday.

The 29 yrs old "Mijo Sniper" Jeje had to miss t of the last season due to an injury. It is learnt the versatile striker has fully recovered from the knee injury. It is also learnt that the Mizo footballer have been thought as the captain for the club’s inaugural season in ISL. In 2015-16 and 2017-18 seasons Jeje has led Chennaiyin FC and even won the ISL. Before that he was a part of Mohun Bagan team that won I-League and Federation Cup. Not only Jeje, left back Narayan Das is also likely to wear the East Bengal jersey again. The footballer from Tribeni is a product of the Tata football Academy and has played for teams like Pune City FC, FC Goa and Odisha FC. He has also played 29 matches for the national team. The addition of Narayan Das will no doubt lend more solidity to the defence this season.
