XtraTime Web Desk: ISL side Kerala Blasters FC to show a special gesture on Friday by wearing a different jersey to tribute a fisherman who saved many lives in the recent floods in Kerala.The fishermen had played a big role, rescuing many, during the recent floods in Kerala. And the Kerala Blasters will wear a special jersey, to honour them, in its first Indian Super League home match against Mumbai City FC.
The jersey, which depicts a fisherman and a helicopter rescue act to mark the role played by the armed forces, has been specially designed for Friday’s match.
The Blasters will also be honouring a few fishermen during the game. Meanwhile Standard, a brand from the electrical goods manufacturer Havells India stable, came on board as a co-sponsor of the Blasters team. The partnership was announced during an event here on Thursday.
