XtraTime Web Desk: Pat Cummins is one of the marquee players of Kolkata Knight Riders. He had a mixed IPL till now. Speaking about his tournament so far, Cummins said, “Yeah, it's been good. The first game was the one I wanted to try and forget quickly. We had a great game last week, that is the last game. Great bunch of boys here. Great squad so we had a bit of fun.”

Cummins is the highest paid overseas player ever. KKR bought him for Rs. 15.5 crore. When asked about his first thought, Cummins said, “Yeah I was pretty happy and to be back at Kolkata as well was a little cherry on top. I played here few years ago. Know a lot of guys here, it's a great franchise”.

He cleared whether the price tag will add any pressure or not. He said, “Yes, there's always pressure. Specially a pressure when you're a overseas player. It's obviously some great talent around and yeah probably brings me the extra attention but just because of the price tag, the bowl won't swing more and the pitches aren't any easier. We have to go out there and do our job.”

Cummins didn't have a good match in the first go but bowled brilliantly in the second match. To which, he said, “I felt a lot better in the second game. The first game happened straight after my quarantine. It probably didn't bowl in my areas I would like straight away but couple of good training sessions. Got a new ball in the second game and it came off. Somedays are good days, somedays are bad days. It's t20 cricket”

Cummins is just 2 wickets away from his 100 t20 wickets. However, he didn't know about this. He said, “No, I'm not, no! (Don't know about that). He added, “yeah, that would be nice. Yeah, of course any game.”

Cummins also cleared what's went wrong in the first match for KKR. He said, “Yeah, some of them we spoke a bit about. Need to adapt really quickly. The first game in Abu Dhabi we thought we were a little bit slow to adapt and obviously the second game a lot better. So, we watched a few games here played now. That's obviously one big ground and I think it's a same quicket as couple of days ago so once we get out there, we need to start to assess really quickly.”

Pat Cummings also said that he is not ready to take the stress of a super over, that too so quick in the tournament. “I haven't bowl for a while. Hopefully, this early in the tournament we don't have to worry about that. It's been good games lately and I'm not sure I can handle the stress of another one.”
