Kolkata: Gautam Gambhir led Kolkata Knight Riders have registered a comfortable seven wickets win over Delhi Daredevils in an Indian Premier League encounter at the Eden Gardens on Friday. Skipper Gambhir and Uthappa were the stars of the match again as the duo put up another century partnership to lead the two time IPL champions’ home. KKR remained on the top of the table with three wins on a trot in IPL season 10.
Chasing a challenging total of 161 runs to win, the Knight Riders reached the target in 16.2 overs, losing just three wickets at the Eden Gardens.
Captain Gautam Gambhir remained 71 not out and Robin Uthappa played a fiery knock of 59 runs before getting run out by Karun Nair.
For the visitors, Kagiso Rabada was the pick of the bowlers as he took two wickets for 20 runs.
Earlier, sent in to bat, Delhi opener Sanju Samson top- scored with a blazing 60 off 38 balls, while Shreyas Iyer contributed with 47 off 34 balls.
For Kolkata Knight Riders, Nathan Coulter-Nile was the most successful bowler, returning figures of 3/34 from four overs.
