Indian full-contact Karate team meets minister of Sports and Youth Services and former Indian all-rounder Laxmiratan Shukla before going to Tokyo tomorrow to participate in the So-Kyukoshin World Full Contact Karate Championship. The tournament will be held on 22nd & 23rd October at Shizuoka in Tokyo.
Apart from participating in the So-Kyukoshin World Full Contact Karate Championship, the Indian team will also take part in the Junior International Goodwill Exchange Championship.
The expected participants in male, female and junior category will be over 450 from the different parts of the globe.From India, Shihan Shivaji Ganguly is invited as one of the referee/judge of the championship.
Eyes would be on Shibayan Ganguly & Shyamantak Ganguly, who would be representing the country in the middle weight and light weight categories respectively.
