Indian Cricket stars embrace tradition and festivity ahead of Netherlands clash
Xtra Time Web Desk : On Sunday, India will face the Netherlands at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Having already secured a spot in the semi-finals as group leaders, the Indian team is in high spirits, with a festive atmosphere prevailing in the camp.
Before the upcoming Diwali celebration, Indian cricket stars, including Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, and Rahul Dravid, added a touch of tradition by donning traditional Indian attire at the team hotel. Laughter and camaraderie were evident as Ishan Kishan enjoyed moments with Shubman Gill and Shardul Thakur. Several cricketers' spouses were also present at the event, capturing moments together.
In anticipation of Diwali, the hotel organized a grand feast, although players like Rohit Sharma and company adhered to their strict diets. A sign at the food counter humorously read, "Count the memories, not the calories."
The menu featured a variety of dishes, ranging from jalebis to diverse Indian cuisines. However, with a match scheduled the next day, the Indian cricketers opted for a more restrained diet after enjoying the festive spread.
