India to miss star forward in the international friendly against China for a weird reason

XtraTime Web Desk:
India’s one of the frontline forwards Balwant Singh has been ruled out from the historic tour of PR China for the international friendly. The reason is even more frustrating, as his passport has less than six months of validity.

Meanwhile, Balwant Singh has endured an equally frustrating start to his ATK campaign following his move from Mumbai City FC.

The Punjab-born forward is yet to find his scoring boots in Kolkata with the team’s struggles from last season showing no signs of stopping yet despite the appointment of Steve Coppell. That he has been shunted on the wing in the Englishman’s system at ATK has not helped Balwant’s cause either.

Indian football team will fly out to Suzhou, PR China tonight from New Delhi.
