Untitled Kolkata: The wait is over. The all awaited first Kolkata Derby of the season will be played on 24th September. It is also declared that the match will be played at Siliguri. The kick off time for the game will be either at 4:30pm or at 5pm at the Kanchenjunga Stadium. The Calcutta Football League Premier Division Group A title for the 2017 season would largely depend on that game as both the heavyweights would have the much needed "advantage" in lifting the trophy. Both Mohun Bagan and Kingfisher East Bengal are playing some amazing football this season and the derby is all set to become a perfect match-up. Interestingly, it would be the first ever Kolkata derby for so many players this time and the coaches of both the teams  - Khalid Jamil and Shankarlal Chakraborty too will be managing their sides for the first time this season. On the flip side, The IFA has also confirmed the dates and venues of the East Bengal vs Mohammedan Sporting and Mohun Bagan vs Mohammedan Sporting. Utpal Ganguly (IFA Secretary): Thursday we will sit with the sub-division of Siliguri and Kalyani Municipality Chairman. We earlier thought of organizing the CFL derby on 17th but due to the Viswakarma Puja and Mahalaya we changed our mind. At the same time the conditions of North Bengal might also get normalized due to the derby match. Anjan Mitra (Mohun Bagan Secretary): We defeated East Bengal in the last derby we had played at Siliguri. We will discuss with the Coach and the technical committee regarding the fixture. If they don't have any issue, then we are okay with it. Khalid Jamil (East Bengal Head Coach): We are not at all concerned about the derby at the moment. The next game is the priority. Venue never mattered to me in my career. So I don't have any issue. WhatsApp Image 2017-08-26 at 19.13.16
