India outplayed Papua New Guinea by 10 wickets to reach in the knock out stages as they became the table toppers. Bangladesh qualified by beating Namibia and Canada in Group C and lost against the champions of 1998 U-19 World Cup, England. Bangladesh notched huge total of 383 batting first against Namibia. Canada put up a fight here and there, but eventually fell short by 66 runs. Afif Hossain was the hero of the match. On the other hand India won all the matches they played and those were bit comfortable win as they started their campaign against mighty Australia and won it by 100 runs. Confident Indian young players won against Zimbabwe and Papua New Guinea to become the table toppers. The winner of this match will meet Pakistan in the semifinal in Christchurch on Tuesday.
